The Chairman of Kano Municipal Local Government, Alhaji Saleem Hashim Gwangwazo, emphasized this while addressing the two newly appointed District Heads during their assumption of duty at his office.
Alhaji Saleem Hashim Gwangwazo introduced the newly appointed District Heads as Dan’iyan Kano, Alhaji Haruna Rasheed Sunusi Bayero, and Dallatun Kano, Alhaji Bashari Mashe Alu. He commended their dedication, experience, and commitment to human development and progress.
Reaffirming the local government’s commitment to collaboration with traditional rulers, Alhaji Saleem Gwangwazo stressed the importance of working together to drive development in the area. He also commended the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the Emir of Kano, Dr. Muhammadu Sanusi II, for their efforts in making Kano State a model of excellence.
Earlier, the Director of Personnel Management, Alhaji Rabi’u Muhammad Rabi’u Gwarzo, urged residents to continue supporting the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to achieve its developmental goals. He also praised the council’s policies, which ensure an equitable distribution of social amenities to the people.
Speaking on behalf of the Emir of Kano, the Wazirin Kano, Sheikh Sa’ad Shehu Gidado, advised the newly appointed District Heads to collaborate closely with the local government to enhance development in the area. He also emphasized the importance of ensuring that every child is enrolled in school, as provided by the government, to secure a better future for society.
In their separate remarks, the District Head of Kano Municipal, Dan’iyan Kano, Alhaji Haruna Rasheed Sunusi Bayero, and the District Head of Sharada, Dallatun Kano, Alhaji Bashari Mashe Alu, along with the outgoing Emir’s representative in Kano Municipal, Alhaji Nura Inuwa, expressed their appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Emir Dr. Muhammadu Sanusi II for revitalizing the traditional institution in Kano. They pledged their continued support and cooperation to foster development and improve the well-being of the people in the area.
