
The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Kano State Chapter, has been described as a pillar of development and progress for the people in every state and the nation at large.
The President of the Kano State NULGE, Comrade Ibrahim Muhammad, made this remark while inspecting the ongoing staff pay parade at the Kano Municipal Local Government Secretariat.
Comrade Ibrahim Muhammad urged local government staff to give their full support and cooperation to the ongoing screening exercise to ensure its successful implementation across the state. He commended the large turnout of staff from Kano Municipal and Gwale Local Government Areas.
Earlier, the Chairman of Kano Municipal Local Government Area, Alhaji Saleem Hashim Gwangwazo—represented by the Acting Director of Personnel Management, Alhaji Tijjani Madaki Gulliya—called on workers to remain supportive and cooperative to ensure the success of the screening exercise.
Alhaji Tijjani Madaki Gulliya also commended the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his continuous efforts in revitalizing the welfare of local government staff.
The TIMES HAUSA reports that,In his remarks, the State Secretary of NULGE, Comrade Yassar Ahmad Labbo, praised the commitment of the union members for turning out en masse for the screening exercise. He further encouraged workers to maintain their cooperation to ensure the smooth conduct of the exercise.
