
The Know Your Neighbor Community Development Initiative (KYN) recently paid a courtesy visit to Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Ahmad Ahmad Ammani at his office in Kano.
The visit, led by KYN’s Executive Director Muhammad Sani Garba, aimed to introduce the organization and seek AIG Ammani’s support in enhancing security in the community.
Garba emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining security, urging the public to provide timely information about suspicious activities to security agencies.
Garba Added that, KYN would soon launch a campaign targeting traditional leaders, landlords, tenants, and traders to educate them on vigilance and reporting suspicious individuals.
“To foster unity and demonstrate the police’s commitment to community friendship, KYN plans to organize a football match between the police and community members. ”
In his remark AIG Ammani expressed his appreciation for the visit and pledged the police’s support in achieving KYN’s goals.
AIG Ammani noted that this initiative would significantly reduce security challenges and kidnapping incidents by 70%.
