The Forum of 44 Local Governments Information Officers in Kano State, led by Chairman Comrade Ahmad Muhammad Sani Gwarzo GAMJI, paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya.
The Chairman, Comrade Ahmad Muhammad Sani Gwarzo GAMJI, stated that the visit was to congratulate the Commissioner on his appointment and to assure him of their readiness to support his efforts in disseminating information and promoting government activities.
GAMJI also expressed his appreciation for the Commissioner’s support for information officers and his commitment to equipping them with modern tools.
In his response, the Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, expressed his delight at the visit and assured the information officers that his ministry would soon commence training for them across the state.
He also promised to provide each information officer with a laptop and an Android phone to facilitate their work.
Waiya urged the information officers to redouble their efforts in disseminating information about government activities, especially in rural areas.
The visit ended with a photo session between the Commissioner and the leadership of the forum.
