The Dobites Old Boys Association (DOBA) held its annual general meeting at the Northwest University Hall temporary site, Gidan Ado Bayero, on December 29, 2024.to connect with Old boys and friends
In his welcoming address the chairman of the occasion and the president of Dambata Old boys association Alh Salisu Lawan indabawa introduced the proceedings, followed by a call to Dobites to maintain the tempo of the great reunion.
“We are thrilled to see many old boys and friends gathered here today ”
“Our association is committed to support the development of our alma mater and we look forward to work together to achieve our goals ” said indabawa
Indabawa reviewed and appreciate Donations from various class chapters pledging them to double their efforts in helping their alma mater.
He also highlights the effort of Several class chapters, including Class 2008,Who made donations to the national body account.
In his remarks Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Alh. Ubale Ibrahim Rano, expressed hope that participants would continue to engage until they are no longer be able to do so.
In his statement The Director of GSS Danbatta Malam Mai kudi Garba express his appreciation to the organisers of the event for their efforts towards development of the School.
He therefore urged DOBA to convert abandoned classes to staff schools.
Part of the attended student from different chapters include Class of 2008 which are Kamal Ya’u Dan Arfa ,Rabiu Uba Rabiu ,Abba Muhd Adamu,Faruk Gambo,Ibrahim Nasir,Idris Uba,Mahmud yanoko ,Aminu Nasir among others .
Aminci Radio reporters , A paper on the Nigerian education system, challenges, and solutions was presented by prof Haruna Musa Dambata an old boy and professor of chemistry from Bayero University Kano.
The meeting, which commenced at 11:00 am, was attended by members of various class chapters and featured discussions on key issues affecting the association and its alma mater.
Meanwhile The Resolutions of the meeting resolved to explore alternative solutions to convert the abandoned Danaboki school to a staff school if needed.
The meeting was closed with a prayer led by Alh. Ibrahim Nuhu Amasaye, followed by group pictures of different class chapters.
