
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is holding a two-day advocacy Dialogue with media representatives from Kano, Jigawa and Katsina states with the aim of providing ways to empower children’s voices so that the Government and stakeholders can take measures to care and protect their rights.
According to him ,UNICEF communication specialist Kano field office also in charge of Kano, Jigawa and Katsina states, Mr. Samuel Kaalu said that the meeting will draw the attention of the media to give importance to the needs of children in their sources and bring out the problems that children are facing in these states with the aim of solving them.
Similarly mr. Samuel Kaalu praised the contribution of the media especially to UNICEF in its goals and objectives.
Some of the media houses that participated in the event include Aminci radio, Radio Kano,Arewa radio , premier Radio ,Legend FM Daura, NTA Kano and Katsina TV , leadership newspaper,Punch newspaper among others.
The workshop take place in NEARLS Suite zaria ,Kaduna State.
