The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intensified its efforts to combat drug trafficking in Kano and surrounding areas, leading to the arrest of several suspects, including a 60-year-old grandmother and a major opioid distributor.
According to a statement released by Femi Babafemi, NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, the agency’s operatives successfully intercepted a Toyota Sienna loaded with opioid consignments along the Kano-Ringim road in Gumel, Jigawa State, during a late-night operation on Wednesday.
