

The Kano State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation has received humanitarian palliatives from the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, donated by President Bola Ahmad Tinubu.

Honourable Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, representing His Excellency Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Executive Governor of Kano State, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the donation. The items were received from the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, through Alhaji Tijjani Aliyu Ahmad, Honourable Commissioner for the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons, and handed over to Hajiya Luba, In-charge of Field Operations in Kano.

- 97 cartons of dates
Honourable Kibiya assured that the items would be distributed fairly and transparently, inviting Hajiya Luba and representatives from the Federal Humanitarian Ministry to witness the distribution when scheduled by His Excellency.
The Ministry was established by His Excellency Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf to alleviate poverty and support vulnerable populations. The Ministry’s mission is to provide Humanitarian assistance and support poverty reduction initiatives across Kano State.
The TIMES HAUSA reports ,Given Kano State’s significant population and influx of migrants, Hon Kibiya, seeks support from Organizations, Community leaders, Government Agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations, Private Organizations, and other Stakeholders to partner with the State Government in addressing Humanitarian needs and promoting Sustainable Development.
