
The Kano State Hisbah Board has honored Arc. Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu, MNIA, with an award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Board, particularly during the recent destruction of confiscated alcohol.
The award was presented yesterday at the KNUPDA Conference Hall. Speaking at the event, the Commander General of the Hisbah Board, Malam Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, who was represented by the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Abba Sa’id Sufi Danbatta, expressed the Board’s appreciation for Arc. Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu’s support.
He noted that Hisbah had reached out to several ministries and agencies for assistance with vehicles and other logistics to facilitate the destruction exercise but was unsuccessful. However, upon requesting support from KNUPDA, Arc. Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu approved and provided the necessary resources, which contributed significantly to the success of the exercise.
Daurawa also congratulated the Managing Director of KNUPDA on his recent appointment as Commissioner by His Excellency, Engr. Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf. He described the appointment as well-deserved and timely, praying for a successful tenure.
In his response, Arc. Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu, MNIA, expressed his gratitude to the Hisbah Board for recognizing his support. He pledged to continue assisting the Board whenever needed.
Speaking on behalf of the entire KNUPDA staff, the Secretary and Legal Adviser of KNUPDA, Mujtaba, also expressed his appreciation, stating that the award had been given to the right person.
