
Kano Municipal Local Government has distributed ₦101 million in cash and food items as a Ramadan gesture to the residents of the area.
The Council Chairman, Alhaji Saleem Hashim Gwangwazo, made this known while distributing the items to the 13 wards in the local government.

According to him, ₦60 million was used to procure food items, including 25kg bags of rice, cartons of spaghetti, and macaroni. Additionally, ₦40 million in cash was distributed to residents of the 13 wards, including workers from various agencies within the local government.
Alhaji Saleem Hashim Gwangwazo urged the people to remain united for the development and progress of the area. He also commended the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Deputy Governor and Commissioner for Higher Education, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, and the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Tajuddeen Usman Zaura, for their support in making Kano State a role model.
Earlier, the Director of Personnel Management, Alhaji Rabi’u Muhammad Rabi’u Gwarzo, represented by the Chief Personnel Officer, Alhaji Tijjani Madaki Gulliya, called on the people to continue supporting the present administration under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to achieve its goals. He also assured the council workers’ commitment to cooperation in moving the area forward.
In their separate remarks, Council Secretary Alhaji Bashir Senator and Alhaji Mukhtar, Hajj Center Officer, urged residents to continue praying for peace to ensure rapid socioeconomic development. They also commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for initiating meaningful projects that ensure equal distribution of social amenities across all communities in the state.
