In a landmark judgment, the Magistrate’s Court in Kano State has sentenced Idris Isah to 14 years in prison for raping a four-year-old girl. The chief judge, Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu, delivered the verdict after verifying the evidence against the perpetrator.
The victim’s father, Malam Adam Muhammad, expressed his gratitude to the court and the police for ensuring justice served. He revealed that the perpetrator was his neighbor, who had been living alone after a divorce. Tragically, the young girl victim lost her life due to shock after being threatened by the rapist.
Malam Adam Muhammad urged parents to be vigilant and ensure their children’s safety.
He emphasized the importance of seeking justice, sharing his own experience of spending 2 years and 4 months in court to ensure his daughter’s perpetrator was punished.

The incident occurred on September 26, 2022, and the perpetrator was sentenced on January 28, 2025.
