Governor Ubah Sani Has communicate with the chairman of the board of Kaduna Electric and raised his concern over the disruption of power supply and Further Expressed his desire that this industrial action should be resolve forthwith,
Similarly Kaduna electric have given His Excellency, The governor Ubah Sani assurance that the issue will be over soon and supply will be restored back to the residents.
They therefore urged the residents to Exercise Calm
Meanwhile Residents of Kaduna State are facing extreme difficulties as an extended power outage has plunged the state into darkness, crippling economic and social activities.
The power outage, which started over a week ago, has affected all 23 local government areas of the state, leaving millions of people without electricity. The situation has been exacerbated by the hot weather, making life unbearable for many.
Mrs. Aisha Mohammed, a resident of Kaduna North Local Government Area.said:
“I have not had power in my house for over a week now,” .
“I have to spend money to buy fuel for my generator, which is also not reliable. It’s really frustrating.”
The power outage has also had a devastating impact on businesses, particularly those that rely on electricity to operate. Many shops and markets have been forced to close, resulting in significant losses for traders.
“The power outage has been disastrous for my business,” said Alhaji Abubakar Sani, a trader at the Kaduna Central Market.
“I have lost thousands of naira due to spoilage of perishable goods. I don’t know how much longer I can sustain my business like this.”
The Kaduna State Government has attributed the power outage to a fault at the Kaduna Power Plant, which supplies electricity to the state. However, residents are growing impatient, demanding that the government takes immediate action to restore power.
“We understand that there may be technical issues, but the government should do something to alleviate our suffering,” said Mr. John Akpan, a resident of Kaduna South Local Government Area.
“We are tired of living in darkness. We need power to be restored urgently.”
