Hon. Magaji Umar Kabara, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Elders Mobilization, today visited Kumbotso Local Government to engage with the community on the ongoing development projects, particularly the nationwide 1700 initiative championed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
During the visit, Hon. Kabara commended the efforts of the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, highlighting key projects such as road and bridge construction, educational support through scholarship programs, and the increase in pension allowances for state workers.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Kumbotso Local Government, Comrade Abdullahi Ghali Shitu Basaf, who was represented by the Director of Personnel Management, expressed appreciation for the governor’s continued commitment to the welfare of the people. He shared that plans for the region’s development were underway, including the launch of a free NCE scholarship program for 1001 students from Kumbotso, to be held at Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education.
Additionally, Comrade Abdullahi Ghali Shitu Basaf called for continued unity and cooperation among the people of Kumbotso to ensure the successful implementation of the governor’s projects aimed at boosting the economic growth of the local government.
Comrade Inuwa Mukhtar KK, Special Adviser on Inter-Governmental Affairs to the Chairman of Kumbotso, also expressed his appreciation for the Governor’s efforts in improving infrastructure and supporting large-scale development projects in Kumbotso. He further praised the active participation of local farming groups and community organizations in the ongoing development initiatives.
The visit reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to working closely with the state government to enhance the living standards of the people and ensure that development projects reach all corners of Kumbotso Local Government.
