The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, made this announcement today during a meeting with Local Government Hajj Center Officers, coordinators, and management staff at the Board’s Conference Hall.
Represented by the Director of Administration and General Services, Alhaji Yusif A. Muktar, the Director General stated that during a recent Hajj preparation meeting in Saudi Arabia—attended by all State Muslim Pilgrims Boards—Kano State was recognized as the leading state in Hajj seat sales nationwide.
He commended the Kano State Government, under the leadership of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for its unwavering support in enhancing the welfare of pilgrims. He also urged Local Government Hajj Center Officers to intensify their efforts to sustain this remarkable achievement.
The Director General assured that all necessary preparations, including adequate accommodation, meals, transportation, and healthcare services, will be made to ensure the comfort and well-being of Kano State pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
In his remarks, the Director of Hajj Operations, Alhaji Muhammed Ghali Muhammed, advised Local Government Hajj Center Officers to remain prepared as the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) is expected to announce the Hajj fare soon. He expressed appreciation for the cooperation of the Center Officers and Zonal Coordinators and encouraged their punctual attendance at future meetings.
The Director of Education and Enlightenment, Alhaji Murtala Lawan Sani, announced that the Board will flag off the Hajj Induction Course next week in the Rano Emirate. He explained that the selection of Rano Emirate was in recognition of its outstanding efforts in mobilizing a large number of pilgrims in the state.
