
Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has welcomed 150 beneficiaries of the state’s foreign postgraduate scholarship program who returned after completing their master’s degrees at top international universities.
In a grand ceremony held at the Kano Government House, the governor commended the students for their hard work, dedication, and outstanding performance.
The beneficiaries represent a diverse group of institutions, with 150 graduating from Sharda University, India, as part of the 420 first-class holders sponsored by the Kano state government under the 1000,1 foreign postgraduate scholarship scheme.
The TIMES HAUSA reports ,In a remarkable gesture, the governor announced automatic employment for graduates in engineering, medicine, pharmaceutical, and other health-related fields.
This move underscores the administration’s commitment to addressing the shortage of skilled healthcare professionals and improving the state’s healthcare system and infrastructure development.
The foreign postgraduate scholarship scheme is a flagship initiative of the Governor Yusuf administration, providing international exposure and advanced training for Kano’s brightest minds.
