The Kano Network for Orphans and Human Development has successfully trained 200 orphans in Rano Local Government on a variety of vocational skills.
These include shoe and bag making, cosmetics, and fashion design, aimed at equipping the orphans with marketable skills for a brighter future.
This announcement was made by the Chairman of the organization, Comrade Adam Umar, during a courtesy visit to the Emir of Rano, Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Isa Umaru, at his palace.
Comrade Umar highlighted the importance of skill acquisition as a means to empower orphans and help them become self-reliant.
Comrade Umar also called on affluent individuals and organizations in Rano Local Government to support the initiative, particularly in establishing a vocational training center to further benefit orphans in the region.
In response, Emir of Rano, Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Isa Umaru, expressed his full support for the organization’s efforts to empower orphans and vulnerable children in the community.
He also promised to attend the graduation ceremony of over 300 orphans who have memorized the Holy Quran under the tutelage of the Kano Network for Orphans and Human Development.
