Kabo LG Chairman Visit Gano Hospital Donates Cash, Drugs.

The Executive Chairman of Kabo Local Government Area, Honourable Lawan Najume, has made a surprise visit to Garo General Hospital, where he donated cash and essential drugs to patients, caregivers and health workers, as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery in the area.
The unannounced visit, which took place on Tuesday, was aimed at assessing service delivery at the facility and boosting the morale of both patients and medical personnel. During the visit, the Chairman inspected hospital wards, interacted with staff on duty and visited patients on admission.
According to the Information Officer of Kabo Local Government, the visit was designed to allow the Chairman to get firsthand information on the state of healthcare services and identify areas requiring urgent intervention.
In a show of compassion, Hon. Najume donated ₦5,000 each to patients and their caregivers, while health workers on duty also received ₦5,000 each. The gesture attracted commendation from patients and residents, who described it as people-oriented leadership.
Speaking during the visit, the Medical Director of Garo General Hospital praised the Chairman for his proactive approach to healthcare, noting that several initiatives introduced by the local government had improved service delivery at the hospital.
Beyond the hospital visit, the Chairman also supported all Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities across Kabo Local Government with essential drugs, including vitamin syrup, paracetamol tablets, B-complex syrup and tablets, Fansidar, folic acid, as well as medications for livestock.
The Primary Health Care Coordinator, Alhaji Mansur Shehu Turaki, expressed appreciation for the intervention, saying the support would help improve access to basic healthcare services across the local government.
Addressing residents, Honourable Najume called for continued cooperation with the council and assured that his administration remains committed to expanding healthcare facilities, rehabilitating existing ones and ensuring regular supply of essential medicines in Kabo Local Government Area.
