Speaking at the award presentation ceremony held at the office of the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs today Thursday, the Director General of the Association, Comrade Auwal Jibril Maifada, said the award was bestowed on the duo in appreciation of their commitment to humanitarian services aimed at improving the living standards of the people.
Comrade Maifada noted that since the inception of the present administration, numerous roads have been rehabilitated, thereby boosting economic activities and reducing travel time through improved vehicular and pedestrian movement.
He further highlighted governor Yusuf’s compassion towards women, children, and other vulnerable groups as a key factor in the decision to honour him, stressing that the governor responds promptly to public concerns with empathy and sincerity.
