Kano Ministry of Health Signs MoU With Sanofi Winthrop Industrie to Boost Healthcare Delivery

The Kano State Ministry of Health has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sanofi Winthrop Industrie, marking a major step toward strengthening healthcare partnerships in the state.
Speaking during the event, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, described the agreement as a strategic milestone that will support the state’s ongoing efforts to improve access to quality healthcare.
Under the MoU, Sanofi Winthrop Industrie is expected to collaborate with the state ministry in areas such as medical supplies, disease prevention, and support for priority health programmes.
Dr. Yusuf noted that the partnership aligns with the state government’s vision to modernize healthcare systems and strengthen responses to critical health challenges.

He added that the Ministry will continue to seek collaborations that bring innovation, resources, and technical expertise to the health sector.
Representatives of Sanofi Winthrop Industrie expressed readiness to work closely with the Ministry in driving health interventions that benefit communities across the state.
They also emphasized the importance of public–private partnerships in advancing healthcare outcomes, particularly in developing regions.
