African Women Summit UK Launch Award and Gala Dinner: A Resounding Success
The African Women’s Summit (AWS) UK marked a significant milestone with its inaugural launch event on October 26, 2025. The award and gala dinner, held in JK Banquets London, was an evening filled with inspiration, recognition, and celebration of the impactful contributions made by women across various sectors.
The event was graced by notable figures, including AWS founder Kalada Belema Meshack-Hart, UK President Mariama Seray Cole, Global President Tuma Adama Gento-Kamara, and a host of esteemed dignitaries.
The highlight of the evening was the keynote address delivered by Madam Musayeroh Barrie, Director General of the Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority (SLCAA), who shared insights on the critical role of women in leadership and the importance of fostering an inclusive environment.

African Women Leadership Impact Award: Madam Musayeroh Barrie, recognized for her outstanding leadership in the aviation industry.

African Women Leadership Excellence Award: Amb. Mrs. Asmaa James, Deputy Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union, for her exemplary diplomatic service.
