The Kano state Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs has extended its food assistance program to the vulnerable in the State thousands of individuals in correctional centers, children’s homes, and vulnerable populations have received food items, including rice, noodles, spaghetti, dates, vegetable oil, palm oil,Maggi, and other essential commodities.
During the Press briefing the state commissioner of Humanitarians affairs Adamu Aliyu Kibiya said , the initiative aims to address food insecurity and socio-economic vulnerability among the most vulnerable populations in Kano State.
“This initiative is a crucial step towards addressing hunger and malnutrition among vulnerable populations in Kano State. We appreciate the state and federal government’s support and collaboration”
Aliyu added that,the state government’s commitment to improving the lives of its citizens is commendable, and this partnership between the state and federal government will undoubtedly enhance the impact of the food assistance in the state.
The State Humanitarian Affairs’ food assistance to the 12 correctional centers and 6 children home as well as vulnerable in the state demonstrates the government’s commitment to achieved the Sustainable Development Goals and improving the lives of its citizens in Kano State.
