Kano State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to Partner with Ageing Forum to Empower Senior Citizens.
The Honourable Commissioner for Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation, Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, has held a meeting with the Stakeholders Consultative Forum on Ageing, Kano State Chapter.
According to the Commissioner, the meeting aimed to strengthen partnerships and explore areas of mutual interest,most especially in Creating database for senior citizens in Kano State.
The Commissioner expressed his commitment to promotes the welfare of older persons in Kano State. He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation and relevant stakeholders.
In her statement Hajiya Rabi Yusuf Gezawa, MON, Co-Chair of the Stakeholders Consultative Forum on Ageing and Executive Director of the Center for Empowerment of Older Persons and the Vulnerable (CEOPAV), reaffirmed her organization’s commitment to promoting the welfare of older persons in Kano State.
Through this partnership, Hajiya Rabi Gezawa seeks to improve the lives of older persons in Kano State by working closely withthe ministry.
The meeting demonstrates the forum’s dedication to advancing the welfare of senior citizens and promoting their well-being, driving initiatives that support their populations, which are expected to yield positive outcomes for senior citizens in Kano State.
